The Braves used good balance inside and out to come away with a 43-27 victory over county rival, Peru. The Braves attacked the paint and the hoop with regularity and got themselves 20 charity tosses (made 10) while the Tigers only managed 7 attempts (made 2). Hayden Williamson got it all going with a three deep in the corner. He added another trey in the 2nd along one from Brennan Bailey . Add 12 pts inside from Trenton Cobble and you’ve got a 24-19 halftime lead. Bailey kept the Braves in front through three qtrs by scoring all 5 of Mac’s 3rd qtr pts. The Braves broke things open in the 4th outscoring Peru 14-4 over the final 6 minutes. Cobble ended with a game high 16, Bailey added 9, Haiden Thompson and Williamson had 6 each while Mason Yoars and Richard Reimer each scored three. Thompson led the team with 9 rebounds and Bailey added 4 steals to the effort. Mason Barnes came off the bench and played several valuable defesive minutes adding a steal and a couple of rebounds. In all it was a solid team effort from the entire roster.
The 1-1 Braves are back in action at Taylor, Tuesday, Dec 4th, 6:00 tip-off.
