The Maconaquah C-Team Boys Basketball lost, 50-31, to the host Berries.
It was a bitter cold winter evening. Were it not for the hot shooting of Hayden Williamson the trip over and back would’ve been even colder. Williamson did not score in the opening qtr but then found the range hitting 4 of his last 6 three-pt attempts for a team high 14 pts.
The Berries also brought early pressure jumping into their full-court press after each of their early scores but the Braves handled that portion of the game very well as they executed a variety of press breakers with near perfection.
Rounding out the scoring for the Braves were Haiden Thompson with 8, Trenton Cobble with 4, Mason Barnes with 3 and Mason Yoars and Richard Riemer scoring 1 each. Riemer also snatched 11 rebounds. Cobble added 3 steals.
The Braves, now 3-8, are back in action Monday night at home against the Northwestern Tigers, 6:00 tip-off.
