The girls traveled to Mississinewa this morning to take on the Indian’s. Mississinewa came out strong and scored two goals putting the Braves down 0-2 with 20 minutes to play in the first half. With less than 10 minutes to play in the first half, Rachel Gunion netted our first goal off a great pass from Kaylinn Teegarden. Slow play during the first half was quickly reversed after the girls started the second half of play. Maddy Hanson played a beautiful ball through the defensive line allowing Lacey Freeman to run on to it and tie up the game at 2 a piece. With 18 minutes left to play in the game, Kaylinn Teegarden got her second assist after she found a wide open Lacey Freeman standing right inside the ‘18 for her second goal of the game! Lady Braves come away with a come from behind victory and look to continue the win streak Thursday against Peru as they play in the first round of sectionals at 7:00 pm. The game will be back at Mississinewa at the conclusion of the match before.
