In front of a large crowd, Maconaquah (7-10) defeated Peru (11-7) for the second time this season. Lilly Maple scored 19 points, with 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals to earn the Michael McDonald, Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance Impact Player-of-The-Game award. Maple scored Mac’s first 5 points as they jumped to a 5-0 lead before Peru scored 8 straight as part of a 16-6 run to lead at 16-11 early in the second. Maple then hit consecutive 3 pointers, followed by an Alex Merritt 3, to put Mac up 20-16, and after a 20-20 tie the Lady Braves would lead the rest of the way. With Peru within 6 late in the 3rd quarter, Averi Miller and Courtney Stoll hit consecutive 3’s to bust open the game, and Peru could only get within 7 in the 4th. A great all-around team effort! Also scoring for Mac: Alex Merritt 11 – Madison Wilson 6, along with a career-high 7 assists – Averi Miller 5 – McKenna Wilson 4 – Monica Moore 4 – Bri Hubenthal 4 – Courtney Stoll 3. Kianna Sharp scored 13 for the JV in a 37-35 win.
