Today the Maconaquah Braves hosted the TRC! In the 200 medley relay, Shrock, Johnston, Teegardin, and Borden placed 1st followed by Manchester, Rochester, Tippy Valley, and Wabash. In the 200 free, Erika Baber placed 1st and grabbed the TRC record as well with a time of 2:01.22. Hannah Montgomery earned a best time placing 4th. Maddy Rayn placed 8th also earning a best time. In the 200 IM, Janet Johnston placed 2nd, Riley Jones placed 3rd with a PR, and Nevy Sebastian placed 7th also earning a PR. Anna Borden placed 1st in the 50 free, Kaylinn Teegardin placed 4th, and Lili Nethercutt placed 5th with a PR. Rachel Little PR’d in diving placing 2nd and finished 17 points behind Tippy Valley’s Eliana Dishon. In the 100 Butterfly, Abby Shrock placed 2nd behind Manchester’s Josie Briner. 100 Freesytle, Anna Borden placed 2nd, Kaylinn Teegardin placed 3rd, and Lili Nethercutt placed 5th with another PR. In the 500 freestyle, Erika Baber placed 1st with a PR, Hannah Montgomery placed 4th with a PR, and Abby Heath placed 6th with a PR as well! Janet Johnston, Hannah Montgomery, Anna Borden, and Erika Baber came out on top in the 200 freestyle relay followed by Rochester, Manchester, then Tippy Valley. In the 100 Backstroke, Abby Shrock placed 2nd and had a PR, Rachel Little placed 4th with a PR, and Annie Isenburg placed 8th. In the 100 Breaststroke, Janet Johnston placed 1st, Abby Heath placed 4th, and Riley Jones placed 6th with a PR. The final relay consisted of Shrock, Teegardin, Montgomery, and Baber placing 1st followed by Rochester, Tippy Valley, and Wabash. Two Golden Goggles were given out today! Abby Shrock earned hers for getting a PR in backstroke! Abby held the TRC record in both the 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke. Even though she placed 2nd in both those events she still broke her own records again along with the 1st placed winner from Manchester. She showed she wasn’t going to go down without a fight and showed sportsmanship through it all! The second Golden Goggle went to Erika Baber. She placed 1st in all four events as well as earning four out of four best times.
