We had a great night at Tippy Valley starting the evening out with two of our medley relay teams taking 1st and 2nd. In the 200 free, Abby Shrock, Anna Borden, and Hannah Montgomery placed 1, 2, 3. The 200 IM was Baber placing 1st, Janet Johnston 3rd, and Lili Nethercutt placing 5th. Swimming the 50 free, the trio of Simmons, Teegardin, and Riley Jones took 1, 2, 3. In diving, Brooke Borden placed 1st with a PR score of 171.55. Lilli Pohlman placed 3rd with a best score 138.75. Rachel Little placed 4th and walked away with a best score as well at a 121.9. In the 100 fly, Nevie Sebastian had a best time with a 1:16.30 and placed 3rd. Kaylinn Teegardin placed 4th with a best time of 1:18.51. Kylie Brown placed 5th to round out the race. The 100 free was swam by Shrock, Sebastian, and Nethercutt and they placed 1,2,3. In the 500, Baber was awarded 1st place. Abby Heath shaved 10 seconds off of her 500 time with a 6:35.71. Maddie Lorenz placed 4th in the 500. The sprint relay was a great race for us with 2 of our 3 relays placing 1st and 2nd. In the 100 backstroke, Alaina Simmons placed 1st, Annie Isenburg placed 2nd and Hannah Montgomery placed 3rd. The 100 breaststroke was won by Anna Borden with a time of 1:21.36. Her sister, Brooke, swam against her with a time of 1:31.93. Riley Jones also swam the breaststroke placing 3rd. Our 400 free relay continued with the trend where we placed 1st and 2nd. Overall, I am extremely proud of the girls. They are fighting sickness and still persevere through and continue to swim well. The Golden Goggle goes to Brooke Borden. She dove a high score and swam the 100 breaststroke at the last minute. She does not practice swimming and still was able to shave off four seconds to end with a best time. Nice work!
