The girls swam well against Rochester on Thursday night. To start the night off, Maconaquah took 1st and 2nd in the medley relay. In the 200 free, Alaina Simmons placed 1st, Hannah Montgomery placed 3rd, and Maddy Rayn placed 5th giving her a best time. In the 200 I.M, the girls placed 2,3,4 to round out that event. Anna Borden, Kaylinn Teegardin, and Lili Nethercutt placed 1,2,3 in the 50 free. In diving, Rachel Little earned herself a PR with a score of 124.68 placing 1st and Kate Davis placed 2nd. 100 Butterfly was next with Abby Shrock and Erika Baber placing 1st and 2nd. The next event was the 100 freestyle where Anna Borden placed 1st, Kaylinn Teegardin placed 2nd and Hannah Montgomery placed 4th with a PR. The 500 was a nice race where Alaina Simmons placed 1st, Abby Heath placed 2nd with a PR, and Maddy Lorenz placed 3rd also with a PR. Sprint Relay was nice with Mac placing 1st and 2nd. In the 100 backstroke, Abby Shrock placed 1st, Rachel Little placed 2nd with a PR, and Annie Isenburg placed 3rd. The breaststroke was a close race between Janet Johnston and Rochester’s Makenna Beall. Janet was able to out touch Beall in the end earning a first place and a PR followed by Abby Heath placing 4th. The girls placed 1st, 4th, and 5th in the 400 free relay to end the night. Rachel Little earned the Golden Goggle for this meet. She earned a PR in diving and was needed to swim backstroke. She was able to earn her best time in backstroke and place 2nd as well. Rachel works hard in practice to be a very versatile team mate!
