Not a bad way to start the season! The girls swam and dove well tonight to earn us our first win! Alaina Simmons swam the 200 and 500 very well with times close to the end of the season last year. Riley Jones swam the 200 and 500 placing 2nd in each. Erika Baber swam the 200 IM with a 2:24 followed by Janet Johnston with a 2:33. In diving, Brooke Borden took first and Lilly Pohlman taking 2nd. This season, Rachel Little wanted to try her hand at diving. She placed 3rd tonight. Baber swam the 100 butterfly with a 1:05 followed by a 2nd place from Abby Shrock and 3rd with freshman Nevie Sebastian. Abby shrock and Nevie Sebastian swam the 100 back. Zoe Seward also made her debut in the 100 back with a time of 1:39.04. Janet Johnston swam the 100 Breast placing 1st followed by Abby Heath and Maddie Lorenz placing 5th. Lili Nethercutt was awarded the Golden Goggle tonight. Lili stepped up and took Anna Borden’s place in the 100 free when Anna wasn’t feeling well. She earned 2 out of 4 best times. I have been really impressed by Lili so far this season, she has been working really hard and it shows!
