The Braves fell to the Lady Hornets 7-4 in 7 innings. Rossville got on the scoreboard first with a run in the top of the 1st inning. The Lady Braves responded with singles from Holly Morris and Carra Wolf to score Lexie Dibattiste and Jolee Holland to put the Braves up 2-1. Rossville once again took the lead in the 3rd inning, but the Braves responded with 2 of their own on a Lexie Dibattiste RBI single that scored Shelby Spence and Dibattiste came around to score on an error on a ground out by Carra Wolf. The Braves then gave up 2 runs in the top of the 5th and 1 in the top of the 6th. The Braves had multiple opportunities to score, but could not overcome the deficit. The Lady Braves were lead offensively by Lexie Dibattiste who was 3-4 with 2 doubles, a single, and an RBI. Shelby Spence was also 3-4 with 3 singles. Carra Wolf was 2-4 with 2 singles and an RBI. Mikaylie Whybrew was 1-3 with a single and a walk. Josie Pyke was 1-4 with a single. Andrea Selleck was 1-4 with a single. Savanna Miracle was the starter and pitched 3 innings giving up 4 runs on 7 hits, 1 walk, and 2 strikeouts. Carra Wolf entered in relief and pitched 4 innings giving up 3 runs (1 earned) on 3 hits, 4 walks, and 4 strikeouts. The Braves were rained out at their double header at Blackford, but will be back in action at the Culver Academy Monday, 4/16 at 5:30.
