The Varsity Softball Braves started their season with a 13-2 non-conference win over the Southwood Knights in 5 innings. Every Brave that played, scored a hit in the contest. Carra Wolf lead the offense going 3-4 with 2 singles and ending the game with a walk-off two run homerun to give her 6 RBI’s on the day. Wolf also got the win in the circle, throwing all 5 innings giving up only 1 earned run and 1 hit with 9 strikeouts. Holly Morris was also 3-4 with 2 singles, a double, and an RBI. Lexie Dibattiste was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. Shelby Spence was 2-4 with a single, double, and an RBI. Andrea Selleck was 2-3 with 2 singles. Savanna Miracle was 2-3 with a single, a double, and an RBI. Hayleigh Cole was 2-2 with 2 singles, an RBI, and a walk. Josie Pyke was 2-2 with 2 singles, an RBI, and a walk. Mikaylie Whybrew was 1-3 with a single. This makes the Braves 1-0 for the season. The Braves will host Oak Hill tomorrow night at 6:00pm for a Varsity/JV doubleheader.
