The Maconaquah Lady Braves fell to Northfield tonight 59-52. Northfield is currently undefeated in the Three Rivers Conference. The Lady Braves played hard and had a lead of 39-37 with 6:26 left in the 4th quarter when a water leak in the main gym forced the teams to finish the game in the auxiliary gym. Northfield regained their composure during that delay and outscored Maconaquah 22-13 the rest of the way.
Lilly Maple scored 24 points, grabbed 5 rebound and had 5 assists and three steals in the game. Brianna Hubenthal played her best game of the season, scoring 13 points while taking a charge. Madison Wilson had seven points and two assists, and Monica Moore had 6 rebounds, two steals, two points and an assist. Alex Merritt added two points and had 3 assists.
The Lady Braves will face Three Rivers Conference opponent South next Tuesday at home. Tipoff for the junior varsity is 6:15 PM, while the varsity game will begin at 7:45 PM.
