Going into this senior night game, the team knew that if they beat Peru, Mac Soccer would would secure a share of the TRC championship. Peru came out strong in the first half playing with the wind, but the team settled in and was able to put two goals into the net in the last 11 mins of the first half. The first score came from Bryant Teegardin after he collected a poor touch by the Peru defender, then beat the goalie with a well placed shot. The 2nd goal of the game came just 2 mins after when Jaeden Bailey made a clean deflection off a defender and the ball found the net. The 1st goal of the 2nd half came from Elijiah Alvarado on a Penalty Kick after a Peru handball in the penalty box. Elijiah placed a ball nearly impossible to stop in the bottom right corner to take the 3-0 lead. Bauer Maple got on the scoreboard on an assist from Richie Leary. Richie gave a high thru ball that allowed Bauer to outrun the defense and put an absolute missile into the top right corner from the 18′ yard line. The 5th goal came from a corner kick where Zach Sparks put a great cross to the backside of the goal and Richie Leary was able to get the 1 touch into the back of the net. The last score of the game came from Kyler Hanson from a beautiful cross/assist by Nolan Jones. Kyler was able to 1 touch the ball to beat the goalie.
