After a 2 week delay, the boys soccer team started the season with a win over Caston 3-0. The team played really well and showed a much improved passing game vs last year.
The first goal of the season came as a result of a beautiful cross by Zach Sparks to Bauer Maple. Bauer’s header was just enough to send the ball off a Caston defender and into the goal. The next goal came by a PK kick by Bryant Teegardin after Zach Sparks was fouled inside the goal box on a drive. Bryant left the goalkeeper no chance as he placed in the corner with power. The last goal of the day came as Kyler Hanson made a fantastic cross to a waiting Connor Kubly in front of the goal. Instead of attempting a shot at the rushing goalkeeper, Connor got the assist by laying it off to Zach Sparks who walked the ball into the net.
