Boys Varsity Track · Boys Track Sees More PRs


We are still seeing improvement throughout our team in our 3rd meet. Though losing to Pioneer by 4 points, we are still making great strides in the right direction as the season progresses and have a positive outlook towards where we are heading to accomplish our goals of improving every meet going into conference and sectionals. All 3 high jumpers PRd with Corbin Middlekauff taking first and jumping an impressive 6’2 followed by Bryce Ward in 3rd along with John Dooley. Braiden Walton also PRd in pole vault for the win at 11′ 9″. Porter Hunt PRd and took the second best 3200 time of the season by finishing 1st with a 12:14 and improved his previous time by 59 seconds. Nolan Kelly, Chance Hagan, Sam Bourne, and Adam Bowman were once again winners in their respected events of the 400m, 800m, 1600m, and shot put. Our 4×8 and 4×4 teams both won again with the 4×8 team consisting of Hagan, Bourne, Law, and Maiben and 4×4 team consisting of Hagan, Bourne, Kelly, and Middlekauff. Matt Ingram PRd in both the 100m and 200m taking 3rd place. Others placing were Bryson Walton in the 110 and 300 hurdles taking third, Jacob Edwards finishing 2nd in the 3200, Hayden Maiben earning 2nd in the 800m, Kaden Law placing 2nd in the 1600, Paxton Kintner finishing 2nd in the shot put, Garrett Spohn 2nd and Bowman 3rd in discus, Dooley 3rd in the 400, and Middlekauff taking 3rd in long jump and pole vault. We also had several other individuals PR though not take a placing in the meet. These kids are working hard, improving, and competing. Their determination and work ethic will pay off.
