Braves News · Varsity Softball falls to Oak Hill 4-3.

The Braves suffered their first loss of the year in a hard fought battle to the Oak Hill Lady Eagles. There was no scoring for either team until the 4th inning when Oak Hill took a 1-0 lead. The Braves fought back with two runs of their own thanks to a Lexie Dibattiste double and Holly Morris two run home run. A few miscues in the 6th inning gave the Lady Eagles 3 runs and the Braves responded with 1 of their own in the bottom of the 6th on a double by Carra Wolf that scored Morris, but the Braves ultimately fell short of a rally in the 7th after stranding Savanna Miracle after a 1 out double. The Braves were lead offensively by Holly Morris who was 3-3 with a single, double, and 2 run homerun. Carra Wolf was 2-3 with a single, double, and an RBI. Savanna Miracle was 2-3 with a single and a double. Lexie Dibattiste was 1-3 with a double. Mikaylie Whybrew was also 1-3 with a single. Carra Wolf  threw all seven innings only giving up 1 earned run on 8 hits, 4 walks, and 4 strikeouts. The Braves are now 1-1 on the season. They are back in action tomorrow night at home against Rossville with a 6:00pm start.
