Maconaquah was represented well at the recent Indiana State Wrestling Association (ISWA) tournament.
According to Coach Bob Freije, the tournament is one of the most prestigious wrestling event alongside the IHSAA State Finals.
“This event is more than two full days of competition with more than 1,500 participants,” Freije said. “All top wrestlers from the state compete to make Team Indiana, which represents the state nationally, an Maconaquah had three place winners at the tourney.”
MHS Senior Aaron Sedwick placed sixth and qualified for nationals in Cedar Falls, Iowa. MMS sixth grader Logan Farnell placed third and first alternate for Team Indiana, and sixth grader Wyatt Price was one match short of placing in the top 8. Mac El fourth grader Ethan Farnell placed third and first alternate for Team Indiana.
