Game Recap

It was a big win for us tonight to remain perfect in conference play. Whitko is a very dangerous and explosive team. We went back and forth throughout the game as there were several lead changes. It was a true test of our will to win as we played some tough competition this week and this was our third game of the week. We saw a lot of effort on the court as we played some solid defense throughout the game. It was a big key to our victory as we held Whitko 14 points under their average. A big factor in our defense was Chance Hagan who did an amazing job on making Whitko’s star player earn his points. Chance and the team held Walpole 10 points under his average. Nate Walpole is one of the state’s best scorers, and our boys have a lot of respect for him. It showed in our defensive efforts. Wyatt Hughes and Chandler Pitts led us in the scoring column with 18 points each. They also had 12 and 10 rebounds respectively. Ethan Larason and Bryce Ward each had 9 points and Bryce had 5 rebounds. Ethan did a great job on Whitko’s other main scorer and made it difficult for him to get open looks. Chance Hagan had 7 points and is our Impact Player of the Game, which is sponsored by Mike McDonald, your local Indiana Farm Bureau agent. Thanks Mike! And thanks to the boys for a great, hard fought game tonight. I’m very proud of our team as we handled a physical week of games. We haven’t had that much blood on our jerseys in a long time. Shout out to our managers for the overtime!
